Conditions of Use
All orders are subject to our full terms and conditions of sale as outlined below. These Terms and conditions should be read and if not understood please call Catering Equipment Services to clarify any questions you might have.

Orders
All Prices will be quoted on this Website at the current price on the date of order excluding VAT at the current rate. No Charge is made to customers for credit card payments.

Validity of Quotation
No purported variation of these terms shall constitute a contract until accepted in writing by Catering Equipment Services.

Catering Equipment Services reserves the right to refuse any order including subsequent to sending of an acknowledgement email.

Delivery


You may normaly select from 4 delivery methods (see shopping Basket), Free Delivery, Standard Delivery, Next day and Highlands and Islands. Free delivery normally takes 3-5 working days days, Standard Delivery and Highlands and Islands normally takes 2-3 working days, or Next day Delivery (unavailable for Highlands and Islands) Next day means that provided your order is received by us no later than noon on a working day, your goods will be despatched the same day for delivery the next day, provided we have the item(s) in stock. If your order is received after noon, or on a non-working day, your order will be despatched on the next working day for delivery the following day. Working Days include Monday to Friday only and exclude UK Bank Holidays. The delivery cost will be clearly shown in your shopping basket before you confirm your order.

  • Free Delivery is available to all UK mainland addresses only.
  • Standard Delivery is available to all UK mainland addresses (excluding Highlands)
  • Standard Delivery is charged at £5.00 + VAT (£5.88) per delivery
  • Next Day Delivery is available to all UK mainland addresses (excluding Highlands and Islands)
  • Next Day dellivery is charged on weight of goods dispatched (The shopping basket shows prices at the time of ordering)
  • Highland and Islands is available to Scottish Highlands* Scottish islands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Scilly, Jersey and Guernsey
  • *Scottish Island Post Codes IV - All, KW1-14, PA34, 37, 38, 39 and PH19-26, 30-41 49, 50

Please leave a daytime telephone number so that we can contact you if necessary. Working days are classified as Monday to Friday and exclude bank holidays.
If you are not home when your goods are delivered, the carrier will normally leave a card with instructions on how to reschedule the delivery.

Delivery dates are estimates only and the time of delivery shall not be of the essence of the contract. We shall not in any event be liable to compensate the customer in damages or otherwise for any non-delivery or late delivery of goods or for any loss consequential or otherwise arising therefrom.

If the customer wishes to claim that there is any shortage on delivery of any goods delivered or that the same have been damaged in transit he shall give notice in writing to us and to any railway or other carrier by whom the goods were delivered within three days after the delivery is made, failing which the goods shall be deemed to have been delivered undamaged and in accordance with the delivery documents.

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing our prices only cover delivery and working on normal working days and during normal working hours. All deliveries made or work done at the customer's request on Bank holidays, Sunday and Saturday and outside normal working hours, will be subject to extra charges.

In the event of any goods or any packing or container being delivered and deposited whether on the public highway or elsewhere the customer shall be responsible for compliance with all regulations and for all steps which need to be taken for the protection of persons or property in relation to such goods packing or container and shall indemnify us in respect of all or any costs, claims, losses or expenses which we may incur as a result of such delivery.

If any items you order are not available:

We will use the telephone or email details you have provided to contact you and discuss how you wish to proceed. If we are not able to contact you we will use our discretion and send you the items which are available and possibly a substitute for the unavailable item(s) or refund you accordingly.
If paying by cheque, we will wait for your cheque to be cleared before making delivery.
If your goods are incorrect, faulty or damaged on delivery you have the option to receive a replacement or a full refund.

Force Majure
Catering Equipment Services shall not be liable to the customer, or deemed to be in breach of any contract with the customer, by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of Catering Equipment Services obligations to the goods. If the delay or failure was due to force majure or any other cause beyond Catering Equipment Services control.

Applicable Law
These conditions shall be governed by and constituted in accordance with English Law and the parties acknowledge the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Warranty Information

  • All Goods supplied by the Seller will carry a manufacturers warranty, some items carry extended warranties please check the items descriptions for details
  • Goods are not sold on a trial basis. Please make sure that the item you are ordering is suitable for the application you intend.
  • Goods which have been ordered or delivered incorrectly will be accepted for return with prior approval from Catering Equipment Services, A Return number will be given for the item returned. Returned goods will only be accepted if they are appropriately packed in original packaging, with instruction manuals and have not been used.
  • Catering Equipment Services will charge a restocking fee of 35% on all goods returned.
  • Customers are responsible for returning all goods ensuring that they are packaged suitably and for obtaining proof of delivery and receipt.
  • Carriage charges for returning any goods to Catering Equipment Services shall be the responsibility of the customer.
  • Claims for damaged goods must be reported by 12:00 midday the following day
  • Catering Equipment Services shall be under no liability in respect of any defect in goods arising from any drawing, design or specification supplied by the customer.
  • Catering Equipment Services shall be under no liability if the defect or failure, within reason from Catering Equipment Services, arises from wilful damage or misuse, negligence by the customer or third party, failure to follow the manufactures instructions, or alterations or repair to goods without prior notice from Catering Equipment Services.
  • Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by Catering Equipment Services negligence, Catering Equipment Services will not be liable for any loss or damage (loss of profit or otherwise) or any other claims for compensation.
